Tal is an award-winning film and television editor and screenwriter recognized as a leading figure in the Israeli documentary and fiction film industries. Her career of sustained international distinction spans over two decades and more than fifty productions. She is a two-time Ophir Award winner—Israel’s highest screen honor—with five additional nominations, and a two-time Berlinale Talents alumnus. Her work has screened at the Cannes Film Festival, Berlinale, CPH:DOX, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, DocAviv, Jerusalem International Film Festival, and the Movies That Matter Festival, and has been commissioned and broadcast by BBC Two and CBC.

Beyond her creative practice, Tal has made substantial contributions to the professional infrastructure of the screen industry. She served nine years as an elected board member of Israel’s Film and Television Editors Guild, shaping national industry policy, labor standards, and gender equity initiatives. As a long-standing lecturer at Tel Aviv University’s Steve Tisch School of Film and Television and other institutions, she has mentored successive generations of filmmakers. She is also the co-founder of Mrs. Wulf Story Consulting, a dramaturgy practice operating across Tel Aviv and Berlin that advises international filmmakers and producers.

Tal holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production from Tel Aviv University and is a member of the Israeli Academy of Film and Television, Israel’s Film and Television Editors Guild, the International Video Consortium, and the Australian Screen Editors Guild (ASE). Her expertise encompasses complex narrative structures across documentary, fiction, and hybrid forms, archival-heavy editing, ethically sensitive material, and multi-platform, multilingual production environments.
