The Secrets of La’Isha – A Women’s Magazine

Since 1947, La’Isha has reigned as Israel’s most successful women’s weekly magazine. This investigative documentary examines the complex, 78-year relationship between the publication and its readers. Moving from its early eras—which were dominated by male editors and the Miss Israel beauty pageants—to its crucial modern role in pushing taboo issues into the public spotlight, the film uncovers the historical friction between commercial demands and social feminist progress.
